FAQ

Tempsi boards

Where are Tempsi boards used?

They are used for ventilated facades, plinths, walls and partitions in interior work.

How are Tempsi cladding boards produced?

The base is Cetris boards, which contain wood chips, cement, water and hydration additives. Certified environmentally friendly material. Tempsi Colore is a painted board, the colour can be selected from the RAL or NCS colour catalogue. Tempsi Granito is a board coated with epoxy and natural stone grit. Available in 13 shades.

What are Tempsi technical characteristics?

The boards have a fire class A2-s1,d0 – almost non-combustible. Building regulations allow its unlimited use in facade finishes. The material is technically robust and not exposed to weathering. Like any material, it has a coefficient of linear expansion, which is compensated for by the manufacturer’s installation technology.

How is Tempsi fixed to the facade?

The panels can be fixed to a wooden frame, galvanized steel or aluminium frame. Not all buildings can use wooden framing according to Latvian building regulations, for fire safety reasons. For wooden frames, screws are used, for metal frames, screws or rivets.

How to finish a plinth with Tempsi?

Attach to the plinth with mounting foam – directly to the thermal insulation. The boards can be screwed or glued to the frame. They can be installed in one day, as there are no wet work stages. Tempsi Granito board is driven into the ground, resolving the knot at the level of the turf, paving or other material.

What to consider when working with Tempsi?

Use only stainless steel fasteners. If installed with unsuitable fixings (screws, rivets, etc.), they can start to corrode and lose their load-bearing capacity. The manufacturer’s edge tolerances must be observed. Bolts must not be overtightened, the boards must be able to move.

How long does Tempsi last?

Warranty period is 15 years, visual warranty period 5 years, expected lifetime at least 50 years.

What are Aquafire construction boards and where are they used?

They are cement composite panels, industrially reinforced for increased mechanical resistance. The panels are suitable for interior and exterior structural and grey finishes, seamless systems for ventilated facades, curved surfaces, floors, walls, wet rooms, ships, etc.

How to install Aquafire?

They can be bolted to galvanised steel or wooden framing, forming a seamless system on facades. Apply decorative plaster or glue tiles and other finishing materials directly to the panel. In the interior, similar to plasterboard, it is mounted on profiles. Boards are easy to cut, drill, machine and do not require specialised power tools. Aquafire boards have a particularly low coefficient of linear expansion, which reduces the risk of facade cracking.

How Aquafire differs from similar products?

The boards are highly resistant to chemical and biological effects. High mechanical and moisture resistance makes them particularly suitable for rooms with high humidity, bathrooms, saunas, swimming pools, etc. The product is certified for marine use and is mechanically resistant to water. Increased mechanical resistance – the panels are sewn indoors where cabinets, TVs, other furniture are fixed.

Is Aquafire fire resistant?

Class A1 – completely non-combustible. The manufacturer offers various passive fire resistance solutions. Walls can be built with an EI60 fire resistance class to withstand 240 minutes of burning time. CLT materials are becoming increasingly popular. The manufacturer offers a solution where Aquafire is screwed in a single layer on top of the glued timber, resulting in a fire-resistant construction. Aquafire has test report certificates. The structure is physically built and has been subjected to combustion in the laboratory. Increasingly, this is being requested by the SFRS when commissioning buildings.

What to consider when working with Aquafire ?

Special screws with socket heads must be used. The technology – the interval between the screws and the distances from the edges – must not be deviated from. Otherwise, this can create incorrect loads, which can result in bulges. As a structural material, Aquafire in a single layer is also stronger than plasterboard.

Is the material resistant to mechanical action?

Aquafire is Impact Resist certified, which means it is shock resistant. For example, walls in public spaces become more resistant to mechanical damage (punctures, buckling, etc.). The A+ emission class is the highest possible for indoor finishes, which means low emissions and is a testament to air friendliness. The mechanical resistance of the boards is maintained even in the presence of moisture.

What is Aquafire warranty period?

The manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty, provided that the conditions for transport, storage and installation are met.
